April 10 Montandon Marsh

What was the weather like?
What kind of soil did you see at this site?
What shape were many of the rocks and how did they feel?
What happened thousands and thousands of years ago to make the rocks shaped this way?
What is the environmental impact of removing the sand in this area?
What is Central Builders Supply doing to preserve this unique ecological site?

  1. The weather was sunny, breezy and cool.
Sandy soil with very round smooth rocks.
Very fast and powerful moving water tumbled the rocks to make them round and smooth.
Removing the sand creates huge, deep holes.
Central Builders Supply turns the holes into marshes.
